How to take body measurements
- Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waist without pulling the tape tight.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Body measurements and garment measurements
These are different. Body measurements describe your body; garment measurements describe the finished item. When comparing a garment chart, measure a similar well-fitting outfit laid flat and follow the same measurement method. A flat width is not a full circumference.
